At E3, Naughty Dog brought with them the stunning gameplay demo for their upcoming The Last of Us which is coming to the Playstation 3.

However, Yoshida has confirmed that the title will not be launched on Playstation 3 systems this year during a talk about the company’s line-up for next year. 2013′s line up has been planned to provide more growth and investment into the PlayStation Vita.

Here is was Yoshida had to say:

We are not ready to talk about 2013. But some of the games we showed like God of War and The Last of Us are not coming out this year,” he said in an E3 interview due to go live shortly.

We will talk more about what our line-up of games will be like in 2013. PS Vita we just launched. It’s been just four months.

It’s second year next year; it’s a really crucial year for us so we will continue to invest in making games from our first party studio standpoint, and at the same time, we would like to see more publishers do games like Assassin’s Creed III Liberation; that is fantastic.

The plus side to this downside is that we now have a narrowed window through which we can expect the highly anticipated game. I reckon the title will launch March or April time 2013, but it all depends on what else may be released that time as well.

Either way check out the stunning and brutal gameplay for the Last of Us and let us know when you think the game will launch.
