E3 2012: Ubisoft show off Gameplay of ZombiU

The other day Ubisoft revealed the cinematic trailer for the upcoming survival horror zombie game set in the United Kingdom called ZombiU an exclusive game for the Nintendo’s WiiU system.

And today Nintendo revealed gameplay footage of the upcoming title as well as releasing information about the title as well thanks to Nintendo.

The game is set in London and it is falling, are you prepared for 2012 the Last Blight is upon London and it was foretold.

In the games story this is the second great plague that has enveloped London in a fog of death with hundreds upon thousands of uprepared die or are infected by a sickness worse than death. You are a survivor who is still breathing, for now, and it is up to you to survive the labyrinth of London streets and underground. You are abandoned by the outside world, surrounded by the Infected, the horiffying remains of humanity are ravaged by a foul disease with the dead shuffling through the streets, waiting to prey on your flesh at every turn!

ZombiU™ is built from the ground up to take full advantage of the Wii U and its revolutionary controller and will test your will to survive in a fear-fueled zombie Survival Horror First Person Shooter.

Throughout ZombiU you will have to keep in mind of your supplies for they are scarce and hand to find, try not to waste ammo or weapons, even first aid and food as you may not know when you will find another one. However it will all nicely be managed by your WiiU GamePad when it becomes your BOB, Bug-Out Bag; an ultimate all-in-one survival kit for your tools, inventory, med kits, maps and more.

The game features unique game modes and gameplay mechanics. For instance if you die in ZombiU, you will wake up as an entirely new character who is another survivor in the same terrifying position, upon starting this new character you will want to find your old BOB however be wary as your last character will become on of the undead! Also you best prepare for an onslaught as zombies hordes will attack your home to get at you and your delicious flesh.

On top of which the game has nifty multiplayer functions fetureing an adversarial multiplayer mode where one player plays as a zombie master and the other a survivor. It is up to the zombie lord to take down the survivor using the WiiU GamePad screen as a top-down view screen to spawn enemies and spring traps by touching the screen, whilst the second player fights for survival against the undead hordes by using the classic controller. And lastly in single-player and online, when your friends are online your friends are alerted about your death and can come and hunt down your zombified character to loot the gear in your BOB and put you out of your misery.

All I can say about Ubisoft and Nintendo’s upcoming zombie survival game is that it looking to be one of the best games this year and THE best games launching on the WiiU system. I am so looking forward to playing this game this Winter.
