E3 2012: Use Two Wii U GamePad’s will slow down your games!

During the Nintendo Press Conference, one of Nintendo’s biggest announcements was that the Wii U could use not one, but two of the Wii U’s GamePad. This changed everything for the Wii U when it originally was only going to use one GamePad.

However, Kotaku has spoilt the fun on this one!

They found out via Twitter that, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has said, “When you use two, the framerate halves to 30 frames per second.”

What it means is that despite all those wonderful 60fps Wii U games Nintendo has lined-up for the system will be slowed down to 30fps if you use a second GamePad.

This is highly disappointing but not the end of the world since it will still be HD, but knowing Nintendo they will be looking at ways to improve upon this, but still having the choice to use two GamePad’s is certainly a big sign of improvement.
