It is just under a month till the biggest gaming event of the year is set to hit streaming services and websites a like being flooded with news about the latest, newest and current information about upcoming and future titles. Now what we have compiled here is a list of upcoming titles that have been revealed already or titles that have long been rumoured to be in development. Check it out and see what is likely to be announced at this years E3.

What to Expect

The Last Guardian – Sony unveiled the Last Guardian back in 2010, the game is being developed by Team Ico and since then they revealed some more videos of the game but not much news. Then there was members of the team leaving the project and other studios being brought in to help with the production. Sony haven’t got a release date, but with Sony revealing 20 titles at E3 this year, The Last Guardian would be an obvious choice.

Army of Four -  The sequel to EA’s cooperative franchise is about to expand even further to include four player coop. The news about the sequel came from a voice actors twitter account claiming he had joined the project, as well as a CV from a developer that detailed Army of Four. It would come as no surprise if Army of Four to get an official reveal at this years E3 especially since the sequels have a loyal fan base.

Dead Space 3 – It has been long rumoured and pretty much confirmed but with EA announcing their intentions to release a new Dead Space title within the financial year, this one will be a dead cert for a reveal at E3.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted 2 – EA tend to release at least one Need for Speed title per year, and like Dead Space, EA have confirmed that Need for Speed will have a new title out before March 2013. Again this reveal will be a guarantee.

Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale -  The title has been revealed and it will feature a whole host of Playstation characters smashing the crap out of each other just like Nintendo’s Super Smash Brothers. The thing is what can we expect to see from the game? Well we will see more levels, and obviously more characters, such as Nathan Drake, Cole McGrath, Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Solid Snake, Sora and many, many more.

Little Big Planet Karting – Sony’s other “original” title is Little Big Planet Karting, a family friendly karting game along the lines of Mario Kart where players get to race as lovable Sackboys and Sackgirls in customizable levels. In fact this sounds like the Mario Kart game we always wanted, where we can design the map layout like typical Little Big Planet games with loads of different gameplay modes. Although far from an original idea, it certainly looking like it can put its own stamp on the Karting game genre.

God of War: Ascension - Although details have emerged about the single-player gameplay and story as well as video gameplay of the first God of War game to feature multi-player. Sony will undoubtedly be gearing up to reveal more information about the next God of War title, more than likely revealing more information about the titles single-player campaign and hopefully showing off a series of bloodthirsty gameplay to boot.

Wii U and Launch Titles – Nintendo have confirmed that they will be showing off the Wii U in all of its glory at E3, revealing hardware specification and the systems launch titles which probably have been leaked recently. However expect to see Nintendo put on one hell of a show as they reveal some of the biggest titles and easily one of the most anticipated pieces of kit coming out this year.

What we would we like to see?

Metal Gear Solid 5 - Kojima hasn’t been subtle this year that Metal Gear Solid 5 is in production, especially since Konami and Kojima Productions have been recruiting developers to work on the next Metal Gear Solid title. Now it may be a little premature for the title to be revealed at this years E3, but it is certainly one we would like to see, especially since it wouldn’t be out till 2013 and would be the perfect tie-in after this years Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance due for release at the end of the year.

BioShock Vita – Last year Sony revealed the launch line-up for the Playstation Vita as well as announce a series of titles in development for the Vita. One of which was a BioShock game for the portable device. The game would be developed by Irrational Games, however since then Ken Levine has debunked reports that the game has started production on the Vita title since they intend to release a fully unique story for BioShock Vita similar with the likes of Bioshock Infinite not remaining in the watery depths of Rapture. It would be great to finally catch a glimpse of the title in production, but I think that might be a little to much hope.

Grand Theft Auto 5 – Rockstar are the rock stars of the gaming industry. Everyone knows their name and especially knows their games. It is unlikely that they will be exhibiting at this years E3, they have been known to reveal news about any upcoming games like Red Dead Redemption, L.A. Noire, Max Payne 3 and Grand Theft Auto IV. So it would be no surprise if they have a gameplay demo shown during the press conference for either Sony or Microsoft, or to really steal the show, showing the title on the Nintendo conference being played on the Wii U. This may be a lot of hype and speculation there but it would be great to see Rockstar return to E3 and show off their latest title.

Kingdom Hearts 3 – It has been a very long time since there was a Kingdom Hearts game released on home systems, in fact it was back in 2006 when Kingdom Hearts 2 was released on Playstation 2. Since then there has been two portable spin-offs with a third being released very soon this year called Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. It would be probably one of the biggest surprises if the sequel was announced, but considering that the Dream Drop Distance is set to connect the story and gameplay to Kingdom Hearts 3. If any year was the best time to announce the future Kingdom Hearts title then 2012 would be the best year to do it in.

Bayonetta 2 – Bayonetta was one of the best titles to be released in 2010. And it is one of the titles that I would personally love to see return for a sequel. It has been rumoured and teased horribly by Platimum Games, yet it has not come to fruition, one top of which the game has recently been rumoured to have been canned entirely since it wasn’t a commerical success when looking at sales. However, the developers continue to tease about the future of the series, yet Platinum Games are working on Metal Gear Rising: Revengenance, it could be a good time to reveal Bayonetta 2 in all of its glory at this years E3.

Prey 2 – Despite being revealed last year with a release date for Q1 2012. Q1 came and went and no news about the future of the title emerged or the release. It seems that Almost Head, the studio behind Prey 2′s development had a falling out with Bethesda who are publishing the title. Now it seems that the title is back on track with development, however to prove it, we would love to see the game make an appearance at this years E3, even if it was just some more gameplay and a new release date for the game in 2013.

Fallout 4 -  Staying on the subject of Bethesda, hot on the news that there would be Skyrim DLC and then the news of the Elder Scrolls Online, which will have large presence at E3. However, with the success of Skyrim and the with popularity of the recent Fallout titles, Fallout 3 and New Vegas, it would seem like the best way forward would to develop the future title in the Fallout series with the fourth game in the series. It has generally been assumed to be in production, but no other details are known, but maybe at this years E3 is when we will find out.

Thief 4 – Thief 4 was announced by in 2009. It is in production at Eidos-Montreal and other than having an announcement, no other details have emerged about the title. No gameplay, no screen shots, nothing, the only details available is on the forum for the title and the homepage with the stylised Thief 4 logo (Thi4f). Lets just hope they show off the title this year at E3.

Splinter Cell 6 – Really won’t be going into much detail, another title that has been confirmed already, Splinter Cell 6 is being developed by Ubisoft Toronto, and will follow after the highly successful fifth outing, Splinter Cell: Conviction. This certainly is a game we would love to see make an appearance this years E3.

Rocksteady’s Next Game – This is the biggest and wildest assumption we can make is what Rocksteady are currently working on right now! The British studio have been quiet for some time till they annouced the Game of the Year edition of Batman: Arkham City that would feature new story download content called Harley Quinns Revenge. Now Rocksteady were rumoured to be working on a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle game, nothing new has been heard about this rumour and has simply been ignored, but could still happen. What we would love to see though? Is Rocksteady coming out at this years E3 with the next installment in their Batman Saga. Nothing to go on other than it will follow the events of Arkham City and Harley Quinns Revenge and it could be bigger and better having it set in the entirity of Gotham, instead of it being located in a small portion of the city.

That is our thoughts about what we expect to see and what we would like to see. Many of which may actually happen and many probably will not, but I have a question for you, our dear readers, what would you like to see revealled at this years E3? Leave your comments below.
