Gamescom 2012: Capcom Unveils Vergil for DmC

Gamescom is well underway with the game show kicking off today with a series of press conferences from the likes of Capcom, Sony, Ubisoft and EA. First off the bat today is Capcom.

Right now the Capcom press event is underway and several anouncements have been made by the company already.

First up is new gameplay footage and a trailer for the upcoming Devil May Cry (DmC) reboot being developed by Cambridge-based studio, Ninja Theory.

The video showed off some new characters, new moves and combat, but also the arrival of Dante’s twin brother, Vergil, who appears to be a major role in the upcoming title.

Vergil made his first “proper” appearance in Devil May Cry 3, and was playable in the special edition of the game.

DmC is due out on the 15th of January 2013.
