Microsoft Claims Ownership of Leaked Document

A few days ago we and the world posted up about a 56-page leaked document that detailed the future of Xbox, talking about the 720, AR Glasses, 3D, Blu-ray, etc.

It was seen to be bogus, a highly detailed fake, then it was removed by lawyers of Microsoft!  Eyebrows were raised but still Microsoft didn’t “claim” ownership.

However all that has changed! Lawyers for the Xbox firm issued a takedown request to Czech Republic website Ihned.cz, claiming that publishing the document was breach of copyright.

What this means is that the document that was written in 2010 that states that the Xbox 720 will be released in 2013 with a $300 price point is in fact owned by Microsoft!

However, this doesn’t mean that everything in the document is entirely accurate about the next Xbox system. The author is unknown and it could have been created by an outside agency, on top of which the document is two years old!  By now everything in the document  about the system’s power and features such as Blu-Ray compatibility and Kinect 2 could have been changed.

Either way we will keep you updated on any more news revealing Microsoft’s future Xbox plans. Below we have the takedown notice sent to Ihned.cz and republished in English on Polygon.
