Over the weekend, an alleged screenshot of an upcoming reboot to the Prince of Persia franchise has appeared online.
The image you can see above emerged from the official Ubisoft forums over the weekend and the image depicts a coloured man standing on a platform surrounded by pedestrians looking remarkable familiar to the Assassin’s Creed franchise, however the image has the words POP_ZERO_2.
The image depicts what we assume is the main character, the prince, as a much bulkier prince than before and looks like it is set in an African or Middel Eastern country, from many sites it seems they are all looking at Egypt. A poster over at NeoGaf has referred the PoP Zero 2 as “God of War-lite”, even saying that it was orginally going to be a new IP for the next-generation that would of been like “God of WAr meets Shadows of Colossus.”
This is the second time a NeoGaf user had mentioned something relating to a new PoP game just before E3 in June with images teasing towards something, and this leaked screenshot could be it!
What do you make of this revalation? Do you like the new prince and the style of game it is going for?
We will let you know about anymore information about the new Prince of Persia rumours as it emerges.
