We have heard a juicy rumour surrounding the upcoming Treyarch and Activision title Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

We know the title is appearing on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PCs everywhere come November 13th 2012. What hasn’t had as much attention is if or how it will come to portable devices. Today we have heard whisperings of  the PS Vita version of the title.

Our source tells us that Treyarch have been developing the title for the PS Vita. What makes this next bit more exciting is that the PS Vita version of Black Ops 2 will play over the Playstation Network with other players on Playstation 3! That  is right, the fantastic Call of Duty multiplayer is going portable with gamers all over the globe being able to play online with their friends anywhere in the world as long as they have either WiFi or 3G accessibility. This means that you could be playing Call of Duty at home and then on your lunch breaks at work.

If this turns out to be true this will completely change the multiplayer game. What this could mean is that the amount of people playing Call of Duty will be increased to have players on all the time, at home and away. How cool is that? This sets a precedent for mobile and online gaming.

Again we at Entertainment Cocktail must firmly express  that we have only heard this through the grapevine and sources have been wrong before.  But with E3  just eleven days away, could this title be one of the 20 new titles to be featured by Sony?
