Yes after months of speculation and near-enough confirmed rumours, Sony have announced PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, a four-player beat’em up game that is very familiar to the likes of Nintendo’s Super Smash Brothers.

First footage of the game appeared on G4TV (video above) which showed the first preview of the game in development at SuperBot Entertainment. What can be seen is a fast, slick looking brawler runningat 60fps which features a whole host of classic and new Sony characters from the first Playstation to the Playstation 3.

Characters confirmed to appear so far are  Sly (Sly Cooper), Kratos (God of War) and Parappa (Parappa the Rapper, to most kiddies this is from a game eons ago to you), Radec (Killzone), Sweet Tooth (Twisted Metal) and Fat Princess characters were all revealled to appear in the game. However there will be more characters from 1st and 3rd party systems for the game confirmed by one of the games developers.

On top of which the game will feature levels from Ratchet and Clank, God of War 3, LittleBigPlanet, and many more levels that have cross-universes which will feature other characters from other games invade their world like Hades from God of War seen to be attacking Patapons. Other levels appear to influence gameplay in other ways like a Buzz! level has questions that can be answered mid-fight, offering players the chance to snag an extra bonuses.

The game will be released this holiday.

So my question is this, who do you want to see in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale? Drake (Uncharted), Cole (InFamous), Orbital Frame Jehuty (Zone of the Enders) or Snake (Metal Gear Solid)? Leave your comments below we are interested to see what you think.
