Square Enix announce Gamescom Line-Up

Gamescom is almost upon us and two of your beloved writers will be there at the event in Cologne, Germany.

Today Square Enix will deliver a whole host of top titles at the event this year.

The event will hold the world first gameplay presentation of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and it will also offer the first-ever European hands-on demos of Hitman: Absolution, Tomb Raider and Sleeping Dogs, this is all according to a press release that has been picked up by NeoGAF.

Square Enix Europe CEO Phil Rogers said: “This year we have a mix of some of the industry’s most identifiable characters and a host of highly original content – it’s going to be a great show.”

So what is going to be on show at the event that will be playable:

  • Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn
  • Hitman: Absolution
  • Tomb Raider
  • Sleeping Dogs
  • Quantum Conundrum
  • Gameglobe
  • Final Fantasy VII

On top of which, since Gamescom is bring a host of mobile games to the event, Square Enix is bringing some of their mobile games:

  • Final Fantasy Dimensions
  • Motley Blocks
  • KooZac
  • Qwirkle
  • SolaRola
  • Mensa Academy

Gamescom takes place in Cologne, Germany from August 15-19.
