The Walking Dead Video Game by Activision

Activision have joined in on the monster that is The Walking Dead, cashing in on the potential for a new game.

The Walking Dead game being developed by Terminal Reality, the studio who made the Ghostbusters game, will be a first-person shooter.

There is already a Walking Dead game by TellTale, the difference is that TellTale’s game is based along the comics canon, whilst Activisions will follow the TV shows canon.

In this alternate take on the series, players are cast as Daryl Dixon and his outlandishly racist brother Merle as they go on harrowing and unforgiving quest to make their way to the supposedly safe Atlanta.

The game will feature a mixture of stealth and action gameplay as players attempt to avoid detection from zombies as well as managing resources and encountering other NPC’s who will either help or hinder players in game.

Activision’s The Walking Dead is due out some time next year, but before that check out the trailer above.
