Usually runtime is not it’s own piece of news, but when it comes the final part to Christopher Nolan’s epic Batman Trilogy any news is news worthy.
The running time has been discussed quite often in the build up of the film and now it has been confirmed by the BBFC that the film will run at a whopping 164 minutes and 27 seconds. Holy bladder-straining runtime, Batman. Let’s hope wherever you decide to watch the film has comfortable seating.
However, this is great news for the film and great news for Nolan, who seems to be allowed to do whatever he wants at this point. He has now made a nearly 3 hour long blockbuster which is something of a rarity. It also no doubt means that there will easily be enough time for him to tell the story he wants and wrap up his incredible trilogy with a meditative, epic finale.
