Joss Whedon is bringing the crew back together in Avengers 2

You read that, its happening! The man that assembled the Avengers is giving it another go!

The news has come from Disney Chairman Bob Iger dropped the news during an earnins call with Wall Street analysts on Tuesday.

On top of this news Joss Whedon is going direct and write the Avengers sequel, but he is also going to be developing the Marvel TV show for ABC!

Granted they haven’t given any details about the TV show but recently new has been circling about a Avengers-related series is in early development.

Here is the statement from Marvel about the news:

“Joss Whedon has signed an exclusive deal with Marvel Studios for film and television through the end of June 2015. As part of that deal, Whedon will write and direct Marvel’s ‘Avengers 2′ as well as help develop a new live action series for Marvel Television at ABC. He will also contribute creatively to the next phase of Marvel’s cinematic universe.”

So what Disney and Marvel have done is bring a highly successful director back to helm another outing with the costumed heroes and create a Marvel TV show, so who better than the man who has created several cult series notably the TV series, Firefly.
