Trailer For Taken 2

What a lovely buncha trailers over the last couple of days. Lovely. Well here we have Liam Neeson in Taken 2, kickin’ ass and takin’ names. Actually, he doesn’t really seem to care what people’s names are.

Looks a lot like the first then.

Only this time Neeson is in Istanbul and his wife is taken instead of his daughter. His daughter meanwhile is also running around Istanbul, no doubt she has learnt something for her old man since the first film.

I will defintely see this film, but I’m pretty sure I can assume right now that it will not live up to the original. The first Taken was such a surprise, balls-to-the-wall action flick that came out of nowhere and showed how expertly Neeson could kill people. The only way this could have been improved is if the stakes were higher and the sequel was different. Instead they have gone down the Hangover road of making the first film basically the same as the first.

Still, it’s good to see some bad people get dead. And you’ll get to see more when the film is released on 5th October.
