Let’s be bold: this is a close to perfect experimental pop album. It’s sexy, noisy, catchy, atmospheric and daring. There are huge hooks everywhere hidden beneath treated vocals, interwoven synths and complicated rhythms. For fans of M.I.A or Sleigh Bells this is a must have record.

The third album from Claire Boucher a.k.a Grimes is a magnificent effort that seemingly channels all the visions of a hyperactive creative, early twenties women. She’s pondering philosophy, religion, love and not really good job of any of them but that’s because she’s too absorbed in sound. It’s probably a little too long and could do with one huge chorus to go over the many good ones but overall a fantastic effort.

Well I geuss I should summise my musical tastes. I think Stephen Malkmus is probably the best lyricist since Dylan and I have a man crush on Julian Casablancas. Despite this I'd rather be Elvis Costello than anyone. So basically I like words and tunes and noises and the odd silly hat.
